I have just discovered another link in our fascinating family!
This relates to William Futter - son of the settlers George and Sarah - with his 2 wives and 19 children.
I appears that the SARAH HAYWARD - the daughter of his second wife - MARY ANN LEWIS - previously married to JAMES HAYWARD - married into the very large JAMES family. Her husband was WILLIAM HENRY JAMES and he and SARAH had 11 children.
I have collected a vast amount of data (and photos) relating to the James family - thanks in the main to Betty-Lou Brown her brother Butch James. This has been of particular interest to me as my great-grandmother, MARTHA JAMES was a sister of WILLIAM HENRY JAMES!
This means that the children of WILLIAM and MARY ANN FUTTER have acquired a several hundred new JAMES relatives and vice versa!
This information has come to light after details written in the old James family Bible came to light.
And while on the topic of the James family, Jocelyn Brown, the daughter of Betty-Lou and Peter Brown, narrowly escaped the Tsunami in Phuket. Her story - included in the book - is amazing and she believes the will of God saved her.
